SUBZERO FIGHTING I
"INKSPLOSION 2007"
SUBzero Fighting "Inksplosion"
blew the roof off of the Clear Channel Metroplex Friday the 23rd. As soon as
Days of the New Front man Travis Meeks left the stage the SUBzero Gladiators hit
the ring.
Some standout moments
from the night included Mike Propst from Max Bishop’s MMA keeping his winning
streak alive and moving to 4-0. Also be sure to check out the fight between
Jeremy Smith from Gracie Barra Arkansas and Clayton Miesner from Bloodline.
Although Clayton got the decision I am sure all the fans would love to see a
rematch down the road. This was a GREAT FIGHT!
Tony Warrior of the
We$t$ide Fight Team fought off a deep rear choke to come back and guillotine
Riley Adams of Max Bishop’s MMA in what was one of the most exciting 1 round
fights in Arkansas MMA history.
Michael Wessel, who
trains under Elvis Price in Fayetteville and 3 days with the We$t$ide Fight Team
started his MMA career with a bang stopping the always tough Big Nick Smith of
Max Bishop’s MMA via tap out from strikes in the 2nd Round.
The main event of the
night saw We$t$ide Fight Team’s Jason Horak move to 6-1 defeating a game Devere
Hawkins from Memphis BJJ via TKO in the 2nd round. Look for Jason to move to the
professional ranks very soon. Check the results section for the complete results
from each fight.
SUBzero would like to
thank everyone that made this event possible. Our staff, friends and family of
the We$t$ide, we couldn't have done this without you! The great gyms and
fighters that made this event such a success. Thanks to the trainers that were
so easy to work with: Max Bishop, Oliver Miller, Ronnie Stephens, the list goes
on. We appreciate all the help and support from everyone. We look forward to
seeing you back for the next installment of SUBzero Fighting!
